Clubs & Organizations

Clubs & Organizations at Fowlerville High School offer students the opportunity to explore their interests, develop new skills and build lasting connections. Our diverse range of extracurricular activities allows students to engage in areas they are passionate about, from academics and the arts to leadership and community service. Participation in clubs and organizations not only enriches the high school experience but also helps students grow personally and socially. We encourage all students to get involved, find their niche and contribute to the vibrant community here at Fowlerville High School.

Archery

Archery Club allows students to learn and practice the sport of archery, focusing on developing individual skills and participating in competitions.

Unified Archery

The Unified Archery Club is designed to bring together students with and without disabilities, promoting inclusion and teamwork through the sport of archery. The Unified Archery Club emphasizes collaboration, friendship and a supportive environment where all students can enjoy the sport together, regardless of their abilities.

Students will learn the National Archery in Schools Program (NASP) format archery. All archers must shoot with provided equipment: a standard Genesis Bow, full length Easton 1820 arrows and 80 cm targets. Unified Archery promotes understanding, inclusion and acceptance for all students!

Do you love to make art? Then join the Fowlerville Art Club to share your skills, learn from others and meet other creative people. We will work with different media and techniques each week. We also work on projects for school and community events. 

Some of these activities include:

We also have open studio time, so feel free to bring in any projects you are working on and utilize our space and supplies. Everyone is welcome to join at any time, you do not have to be taking an art class.

The Manga/Anime Club at Fowlerville High School was created in response to student interest in the Japanese style of drawing and cartooning. In this club, members focus on honing their artistic skills with the goal of one day publishing their own comic strip featuring Fowlerville and the unique creatures they imagine. The club meets concurrently with the Art Club, providing a creative space for students to develop and share their passion for manga and anime.

Class Council

Serving on Class Council allows students to serve their class in a leadership capacity, plan events and raise money for activities such as prom and graduation lock-in.

This is a student-led club of role-playing, good times and camaraderie. Come join the fun. All are welcome.

Distributive Education Clubs of America (DECA) is a national student organization for students interested in business careers. DECA prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs for careers in marketing, finance, hospitality and management in high schools and colleges around the globe. Fowlerville High School DECA students have the opportunity to meet with students from around the state in various business competitions which further their knowledge in specific business topics. There is a great opportunity for networking with students around the country and also with businesses involved in DECA. Scholarships are available with a win at a national competition.

FFA is the premier youth organization dedicated to preparing its members for leadership roles and careers in the science, business and technology of agriculture. With over 700,000 members across all 50 states and U.S. territories, the National FFA Organization plays a vital role in agricultural education. FFA equips students with the skills and knowledge needed for successful careers and informed decisions within the global agriculture, food, fiber and natural resource systems.

Through a variety of contests, workshops, recreational events and conventions held throughout the school year, FFA fosters leadership, personal growth and career success in its members. While all high school students are welcome to join FFA, enrollment in an agricultural education class for at least one year is required.

The Interact Club at Fowlerville High School empowers young people, ages 12-18, to develop leadership skills while embracing the motto "Service Above Self." Discover how serious leadership can be seriously fun by joining our club. Everyone is welcome!

As a member of the Interact Club, you'll learn how to become an effective leader in your community while participating in meaningful service projects. Our club is active in Fowlerville, taking on initiatives such as "Painting in the Ville" during the Christmas season to support local businesses, and "Blessings in a Backpack, where we provide food for elementary students in need to take home over the weekend. Supported by our local Rotary Chapter, we are committed to making a positive impact and learning the true value of leadership.

We welcome students from all grade levels, grades 7-12. Come join us and make a difference—both in your life and the lives of others.

Are you passionate about video games, card games or board games? Do you wish you could get your homework done before heading home? Looking to connect with others who share your interests? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then the Gamer Support Group (GSG) is for you!

GSG meets every Thursday in the library and is open to all high school students. Join us for an afternoon of gaming, featuring a variety of options including video games, board games, card games, role-playing games and more. Game night runs until 5:00 p.m. giving you plenty of time to play and socialize.

Feel free to bring your own gaming equipment, but please note the school assumes no responsibility for the condition of personal items brought to game night. Come join the fun and connect with fellow gamers at GSG!

Student-led activities include watching French films, cooking French cuisine, playing games and working on creative projects—all designed to immerse members in French culture. Occasionally, the club also embarks on field trips to watch plays, view films or dine at nearby French restaurants.

Experience the rich traditions and vibrant culture of Germany with the Fowlerville German Club. This club is a hub for students interested in celebrating German holidays, exploring cultural events and even trying their hand at cooking authentic German dishes. Whether you’re passionate about German culture or simply curious, this club offers a welcoming space to learn and have fun. Come join us and discover the joys of all things German!

The Lit Club is open to any student with a passion for reading or creative writing. We explore a wide range of books, from graphic novels to mysteries and to share our thoughts on what we’re reading and writing. Our meetings offer the chance to delve into different themes and genres, compare books with their movie adaptations, connect with authors, receive feedback on our writing and much more. You don’t need to be an avid reader to join—just a love for books, writing and engaging with others who share your interests!

The Fowlerville Area Scientific Technicians, commonly known as “The F.A.S.T. Team,” is Fowlerville High School’s competitive robotics team, participating in the renowned FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC). This global program challenges high school students to design, build and program industrial-sized robots to compete in complex field games, all while collaborating with other teams. Beyond the technical challenge, the F.A.S.T. Team also engages in fundraising efforts and promotes STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) within the local community.

As a proud and successful member of the FIRST Robotics community, the F.A.S.T. Team is eager to expand and welcome new members. Whether you enjoy playing video games, dismantling and reassembling gadgets or working on cars, the F.A.S.T. Team offers a unique opportunity to apply your skills in a fun and competitive environment. Join us as we continue to innovate, compete and inspire a passion for STEM in Fowlerville and beyond.

The Spanish Club offers students the opportunity to deepen their understanding of the diverse cultures where Spanish is spoken. Members will enjoy Spanish music, celebrate cultural traditions and explore the culinary arts by creating various Spanish dishes. The Spanish Club is open to all students who are interested in expanding their cultural horizons. Come join us!

The Student Council is open to all high school students who want to make a difference and have their voices heard within the school community. As a member, you'll have the opportunity to help shape the student experience by planning spirit days, organizing pep assembly activities and setting the themes for our school dances. The Unified Cheer Club offers a unique opportunity for students with and without intellectual disabilities to come together in a supportive and inclusive environment. Participants will have the chance to learn and practice cheerleading skills including cheering, jumping, stunting and tumbling. The club's efforts will culminate in an exciting performance at the Cheer Showcase in February. Unified Cheer is more than just a club—it's a celebration of understanding, inclusion and acceptance, empowering all students to shine together.

The Fowlerville High School Umbrella Club is open to all high school students. Our club's symbol, the umbrella, represents our commitment to inclusivity. We are dedicated to creating a school environment where everyone—regardless of culture, ethnicity, race, gender or orientation—feels valued and respected. The Youth Advisory Council (YAC) at Fowlerville High School is a dynamic group of student leaders, both with and without disabilities, dedicated to fostering a culture of inclusion and acceptance. Together, they plan and execute school-wide activities that promote inclusivity, organize community service events and support Unified Sports programs. Our Unified Sports offerings include Bowling, Poly Hockey (floor hockey), Cheerleading, Track and Field and Bocce Ball.

Each year, the YAC leads impactful initiatives such as a non-perishable food drive benefiting the Family Impact Center and a pet supply drive for the Humane Society of Livingston County. Additionally, the YAC plays a vital role in educating the student body during Disability Awareness Week, a week-long event that encourages understanding and respect for all individuals.

YAC members are passionate about motivating their peers to become advocates for positive change, promoting respect, inclusion and acceptance within our school and the broader community.

Tech Club at Fowlerville High School is a dedicated student service organization that plays a crucial role in providing technical theatre support for the Alverson Center for Performing Arts, Fowlerville Junior High Auditorium and various remote district events including Fowlerville Community Schools Board of Education meetings. Committed Fowlerville High School students undergo extensive training to manage all school-related, community and professional stage productions through June.

Tech Club members are responsible for the behind-the-scenes operations that bring productions to life, including stage management, house management, properties, costuming, rigging, sound engineering and lighting design. Through their involvement, students gain valuable hands-on experience and develop essential life skills that will serve them well beyond high school.
