Testing Out this summer for 24/25 school year
Complete this form and return it to Ms. Kottong in the Counseling Office by Monday May 13, 2024 to participate in testing out this summer.
A $50 Deposit is required per course to be turned in with this form by May 13, 2024.
The deposit will be returned AFTER you complete the test-out. If you do not complete the test-out your $50 will be forfeited. Cash or checks to FCS will be accepted

Public Act 335, 1279B of the State School Code requires the opportunity for any high school student to “test out of any course.
To test out, a student will need to exhibit mastery of the subject matter by attaining a grade of not less than a C+ (77%) on a final examination. The student may also be required to demonstrate mastery through authentic assessment devices used in the course, such as a portfolio, performance paper, project, or presentation. It is important to note that by successfully testing out of a course, a student will miss participation in class discussions, laboratory activities, and opportunities to develop higher-level thinking skills that are nurtured by daily contact with the instructor.
Credit achieved will be counted towards fulfillment of a pre-requisite within a subject area and course sequence. It will also fulfill a credit requirement toward the 22 credits needed to graduate from Fowlerville High School. For example, testing out of a math course will enable a student to take the next course in the math sequence as well as satisfy one of the four credits required for graduation. A student must successfully test out of both semesters to test out of the course if the course is a year-long course and move forward in your course sequences.
No refund will be given to students who sign up but do not complete the required work & test(s).
Students enter Door #9 by the Media Center.
All required work and projects are due at the time of the exam.
Students MUST take the exam during the summer school time period either Session A (July 24 - 25) or Session B (Aug 5 - Aug 6)
Testing out is available from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
You must begin testing no later than 10:00 am
Exams CANNOT be taken outside of the designated dates and hours
Exams are graded in mid-August and students will find out the results via school email
