Jeffrey Finney, Assistant Principal

I am looking forward to my first school year as the Assistant  Principal here at Fowlerville Junior High School.  This will be my 4th year at Fowlerville Community Schools and it is an honor to be part of such a great community that is dedicated to supporting our students, helping them succeed, and preparing them for the future.  I am excited to serve the community in this new role and look forward to working with our students and families.

Backgound

Prior to coming to FJH, I served as the FHS Dean of students for 2 years and Middle School Dean of Students at Charlotte Public Schools for 4 years.  I earned my Bachelor's Degree from Grand Valley State University in K-12 Physical Education in 2011.  I also earned my Master of Arts in Educational Leadership from Central Michigan University in 2015.  I continue to grow as an educator and strive to be a lifelong learner in order to best support teachers and students.

I am also a huge fan of athletics and have coached high school sports for 16 years (including football, track & field, and baseball).  Some of my best experiences in education have come from coaching and helping student athletes reach their goals.  I believe that extracurricular activities can greatly enhance a child's learning experience and teach valuable life lessons.

Home Life

Outside of school I love spending time with my family.  My beautiful wife of 9 years, Paige, and I have one wonderful child.  My son Leo (5) is really enjoying being the only child and keeps us very busy.  He enjoys playing outdoors and loves going golfing.  My family and I love the Fowlerville community and truly believe it is a great place to learn.

Feel free to contact me via email or phone if you need anything.  Thank you.
